Highlights
Today’s highlights:
-I dropped my phone in the toilet…after I peed in it.
-I proceeded to throw my phone against the wall for 10-15 minutes in an attempt to get the battery out of my phone. It worked.
-Going inside my clients’ home, unable to find the refugees but very able to find Fergie playing loudly in the house.
-Watching an angsty high schooler make calls for me:
“Hi, I’m Christy. Do you take Medicaid patients?”….”K”
“Hi, I’m Christy. Do you take Medicaid patients?”….”K”

-Trying to use my phone because it seemed to be working, when it starts pushing its own buttons during a conversation. Then having to throw my phone against the wall to get the battery out again. THEREHASTOBEABETTERWAY
Worst part of today: Realizing that it was still only Monday at the end of the day.
Highlights from the past 2-3 months…?
-IF you didn’t know…I live with my bffheather and her husband, Andrew. And I like it.
-I work in Dayton in the Refugee Resettlement program.
-I’m just now starting to feel like I can come home and do things after work.
-I sometimes worry that I don’t have friends anymore.
-I vowed to never have an iPhone after we asked “Siri” who her master was and she responded by saying “I guess I don’t have one.”….AHHHHHHH
-I’m working on being more of a friend to those around me. I think that for so long I gave more than I had, so now that I don’t feel like I HAVE to do that, I’m being less of a friend than I would actually like to be. Work in progress.
-Micah and I have checked out a couple places for the non-existent wedding!
-I’m learning to play the violin!
-I always think I want alone time and then I get really sad if no one else is home.
-I’m getting back into painting.
-I love playing soccer and watching football, which I do every Sunday.
-Micah didn’t pay a ticket and had a warrant out for his arrest…I made him pay it so he didn’t pull an “Aaron Condon”.
-Peter’s dog, Spike, was put down a few weeks ago. He was in the room with Peter when he died, and was basically the only “living part of Peter” left. This feels dumb to have as a bullet point. Whatever.
-I want to go camping. Real bad.
-I feel like I haven’t really processed anything since I graduated.
-I’m usually at least okay with winter coming, but not this year. Maybe it’s because I didn’t really get to enjoy my summer like usual. I’m just not ready to be stuck inside for another half of a year :[ I may or may not have seasonal depression. I’m just so sad that it’s getting dark so early. wah wahhh.
-I learned how to brew beer!
-I’m pretty damn good at my job.
-I’ve been running 4-6 miles a week + whatever a soccer game is, and I’ve been taking 1-2 dogs with me. Thank God, because Springfield’s bike path is THE CREEPIEST.
-Leaving Anderson really just hit me for the first time this month.
-Micah is the sweetest.
-I’m trading in my old guitar for a banjo!
-Micah and I and a handful of other people are playing at Un Mundo this Friday for its 5th Birthday!
-I haven’t written any songs in a while. I can’t write when I’m at all happy. Which I guess means that this is a good thing…
-I have a salary and my own health insurance and paid vacation days. I am an adult.
-I get my feelings hurt way more than I admit, and I hold it against people more than I realize.
-Micah’s brother and sister-in-law are trying to decide who will be the godparents (I typed dogparents) in case something happened to them, and we’re not in the running because they found out that I’m pro-gay rights. ha!
-Caleb’s wedding made me realize that I’m really really over Jamie, that I miss my Anderson friends, and that I’ve never dealt with a lot of hurt feelings by those friends.
-Heather’s going to teach me how to sew.
-Abra’s going to teach me how to dougie.
-I currently have more money than I’ve ever had before (which is $2000 haha), but I start paying my student loans next month. womp.
-Micah and I are being Merry and Pippin for Halloween. YEAHLOTR4LIFE. I realized I’ve never been a girl for Halloween…(ketchup-check, pikachu-check, turd-check, The Beast-check, hobbit-check.) Is there something wrong with me?
